The Standard Single Hidden Bookcase Door is built to carry real books and décor while operating as a full doorway. Adjustable shelving and available cabinet doors turn otherwise unused doorway space into practical storage.

This design prioritizes familiar bookcase function and broad configuration flexibility. It can conceal an opening, but it does not use the same concealment-focused architecture as the Alpha Door.

The current product specifications list rough openings from 26 to 50 inches wide and 62 to 98 inches high. Reduced-height openings from 38 to 60 inches high should use the Small Hidden Bookcase Door range.

How much can the shelves hold?

The door is rated for up to 300 pounds. For best operation, place heavier books and objects toward the hinge side and distribute the remaining load thoughtfully.

What is the in-swing wall-depth limit?

The jamb or wall depth must be at least 4 inches and no more than 6-1/2 inches for an in-swing door. The current product specifications do not state a wall-depth restriction for out-swing doors.

Is the included mechanical latch a lock?

No. It supports alignment and holds the door closed. Optional mechanical key locks and electronic systems are available. Electronic systems require a standard 110V household outlet; wiring and installation are not included.
