Lifetime coverage

Structure and mechanical hardware

Covered against defects in materials and workmanship while owned by the original purchaser at the original installation location.

Five-year coverage

Factory finishes and selected locks

Covered for five years from the original shipment date against qualifying defects in factory workmanship or application.

  • Factory-applied paint
  • Factory-applied stain and clear coatings
  • Decorative veneers
  • Mechanical locking systems
  • Keyed locks and deadbolts
One-year coverage

Electronics and automation

Covered for one year from the original shipment date against manufacturing defects.

  • Electronic locks and keypads
  • Fingerprint and wireless access devices
  • Remote controls and power supplies
  • Battery backup systems
  • Motorized and automated accessories
Important delivery requirement

Inspect and report within five business days.

Shipping damage, concealed freight damage, missing parts, cosmetic or finish defects, visible manufacturing concerns, and order discrepancies must be submitted in writing within five business days of delivery.

After that inspection period, the product is deemed accepted as delivered and those delivery-related issues are not eligible to be submitted as warranty claims.

Coverage generally requires

  • The original purchaser and original installation location
  • Normal residential indoor use
  • A finished, weather-protected, climate-controlled structure
  • Humidity maintained between 35% and 55%
  • Temperature maintained between 60°F and 80°F
  • Installation and maintenance consistent with Hide-A-Way Doors instructions
  • A defect in materials, workmanship, or covered factory application

Coverage generally excludes

  • Improper installation, storage, handling, or maintenance
  • Misuse, abuse, accidents, or unauthorized modifications
  • Water, uncontrolled moisture, or non-climate-controlled environments
  • Normal wear, routine adjustments, scratches, dents, or fading
  • Natural wood variation and normal seasonal movement
  • Building settlement or framing irregularities
  • Construction, removal, installation, or labor costs without prior written authorization
