Hide-A-Way Doors is a family-owned and operated business located in Morristown, Tennessee—about 45 minutes northeast of Knoxville. Every door we build is handcrafted in-house by skilled craftsmen who take pride in doing things the right way, not the easy way.

Our story began in late 2015, when a client approached our parent company, All Work Contracting Services, with a challenge.

At the time, All Work was well known throughout the region for high-end custom building and remodeling—trusted for tackling unique projects and delivering quality without shortcuts. This client wanted something different: a hidden bookcase door with very specific requirements.

“I don’t want any signs that it’s a door. No swing gaps. And I don’t want it made from MDF.”

After researching existing hidden door companies, he wasn’t impressed with what he found—so we designed something better.

That first custom build became what is now known as the Alpha Door. And from that single project, Hide-A-Way Doors was born.

From One Door to a Growing Demand

After completing the initial build, we decided to showcase a model bookcase door at a local trade show under the All Work Contracting name. The response exceeded every expectation.

A local newspaper featured the door, and the very next morning, people lined up at our display to learn more. One of the biggest takeaways surprised us: many people weren’t even focused on concealment.

They loved the idea that a bookcase door added beauty, function, and storage to an otherwise wasted doorway—while still offering the option of concealment when needed.

That moment confirmed what we already believed: a hidden door should be more than a trick. It should be useful, durable, and beautiful.
